Abstract

There are many challenges facing the Islamic financial industry, especially those related to the development and innovation of Islamic financial products that are able to compete the conventional products and provide investment methods that achieve high yield and economic efficiency. For that, The financial engineering is considered as an important approach for the Islamic banking industry to develop those products. The islamic financial engineering as an alternative of the financial engineering has a big importance in islamic banks which respect the Shariah rules. This study comes to highlight the role of islamic financial products in developing the islamic banking. It also focuses on the experiments of Emirates Islamic Bank in issuing the Ijarah sukuk.
