Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study and determinate the relationship between money supply and exchange rate in both directions; ie the effect of money supply or monetary mass on the exchange rate; as well as the impact of exchange rate (fluctuations and stability) on the active money The present study also aims to highlight the importance of how a good management of this relationship can really control each of the inflation rate; the purchasing power of the national currency; whether internal or external to address the balance of payments deficit... etc; and all this to prevent disturbances in commercial exchange and to ensure competitive status of national institutions comparatively with foreign institutions Finally we try to drop the theatrical frame works of this relationship on the Algerian case during periods between each of the ( 1992_2001 ) and ( 2002_2011).
