| Résumé: | Economists use economic indicators to explore the economic conditions of the country. Moreover, economic indicators help in quickly conveying the real state of the markets and their progress because their calculation is based on averages and relative numbers.
One ofthose economic indicators are the market index which measures the general trend of the market and reflect the movements of stock prices. Furthermore, market indices are used for performance evaluation. This article investigates the securities market indices and their importance and construction in addition to their calculations. |
