Résumé: | Glass is a hard, brittle material; However, care should be taken to avoid any cracks. This material becomes hazardous when used under moderately high stresses. We used the design of experiments technique in order to model the scratch test, it is defined by the load and the scratch speed. We used previously published experimental data to develop a mathematical model of the phenomenon. We have found a quadratic model which is the most appropriate. The value of R² (78,26%) represents the proportion of the variation of the calculated response. This value shows us how descriptive is our model is. The optimum values of speed and load are 106,560 µm / s and 0,2930 N respectively, to have good mechanical resistance. The iso-response curves make possible to give any value of the mechanical resistance regardless of the speed and loading values. By Henry's line we have verified that the normality test is satisfactory |
