Résumé: | In the global context of the diversification of the use of the natural resources, the recourse to renewable energies and in particular the solar photovoltaic one is done more and more loud. For this reason, the development of a new generation of photovoltaic cells based on SnS seems promising. In this work of modeling and simulation, we use the software SCAPS, to study the performances of the solar cells based on SnS thin films. We evaluate initially, the current of short-circuit ISC, the tension in open circuit VOC, the factor of form FF and the electrical efficiency η for a typical structure of ZnO/CdS/SnS. There after, we are interested
to the thickness and temperature of the layer (SnS) to investigate the influence of these on the output parameters, especially the electrical efficiency of the structure. Simulation results showed us that settings such as thickness and temperature of the thin film play an important role on performances of the cell. The optimal conversion efficiency of 7.31% was obtained for a thickness of the absorbent layer of the order of 10µm and 6.64% for a temperature of the order of 250K. |
