Résumé: | This project summarizes a theoretical contribution and simulation of fiber laser models. The work accomplished started with the basics of theoretical background of fiber laser and its different models. Fiber laser is fiber doped with erbium ions and pumped with laser to generate amplification and tuned lasers. Trying to understand the basics of fiber laser is always trying to recall on the fundamental concepts of quantum physics as well as erbium ion spectroscopy. The fundamental concept of quantum physics of optical fibers has been initiated to understand deeply the physical phenomena behind amplification in erbium doped fiber laser. Furthermore, the comparison between ring cavity and linear cavity fiber lasers are investigated. Then, the experimental and simulation part was combined and compared using Optisystem software and Excel to design the EDFL. |
