Etude des procédures de vérification des exigences technique et métrologiques des frontofocométres

Abstract

Optical lenses are objects widely used in the field of optics, especially eyewear. Different lenses exist according to their geometries, their indices and their powers. The power of a lens can be measured using a focimeter, it is widely used in the field of eyewear either for the measurement of powers or the determination of the optical center of a lens or to center it along an axis. This instrument can sometimes show measurement errors generally caused by manufacturing defects or aging of the instrument. This work is firstly interested in the study of the focimeter, its operation, its use and its different types. Then, it discusses the technical and metrological requirements and test procedures of the latter according to the recommendations of the OIML. In the end, the studied requirements were put into practice on a focimeter from the Institute for Optics and Precision Mechanics. The results obtained were recorded in a test report with evaluation findings.
