Résumé: | In this work, we conducted an experimental study of an AlNi surface alloy by electrodeposition technique in order to improve the surface properties of an aluminum alloy. This work was made in two stages: a stage of electroplating nickel on the substrate and a second stage, which consists in diffusing this nickel in volume of the substrate by diffusion annealing in order to form a surface alloy. Different techniques have been used to characterize the latter: microhardness, optical and electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and wear tests. We were able to highlight the reference alloy which is formed by the intermetallic phases Al3Ni and Al3Ni2. We have shown that the microhardness has been improved by a factor of more than 5 and the wear resistance has been clearly increased. |
