Résumé: Chiral media are of great interest today in a number of research fields such as medicine, chemistry, biology and physics. It is therefore important to develop new concepts for the detection, characterization and analysis of this type of media which give rise to new amazing applications. In this work, we are mainly interested in chiral media, and based on polarimetric formalisms such as; Jones and Stokes-Mueller formalism, we present a method used for the discrimination of the optical properties of these media. Based in this method on a mathematical model used to determine the Jones and Mueller matrix of a chiral medium according to their different characteristics such as rotatory power and circular dichroism, by proposing in this part an optical assembly for each property. As such, we carry out programs using MATLAB and LabVIEW, the goal of which is found the Mueller matrix from a Jones matrix, and then determine the expression of the rotary power and the circular dichroism in function of the elements of this experimentally found Mueller matrix.
