Résumé: | Solar energy is the most abundant renewable energy nowadays, their principle is to convert solar energy into electricity by photovoltaic devices, this conversion is a promising way to exploit this sustainable energy source. Over time, development in this area has become the focus of many researchers. They have always pursued to achieve the decrease in cost per watt, is to decrease the manufacturing cost of the photovoltaic cell. This has motivated the research towards the production of cheap solar cells with less material by using thin films a-Si, CdTe, CIGS….
In this modeling and simulation work, we use the SCAPS-1D software to study the effect of the thickness of the layers on the one hand and on the other hand the effect of the gap energy on the current. short-circuit voltage Jsc, the open-circuit voltage Voc, the form factor FF and the electrical efficiency η of the CIGS cell for a simple Mo/p-CIGS/p-Si/ 𝐼𝑛2𝑆3/i-ZnO/Al-ZnO structure junction, and the yield obtained after the simulation is 31.42%. |
