Résumé: In this project, we provide an overview of the historical background of laser fibers and specifically focus on the erbium-doped fiber laser. We then delve into a comprehensive explanation of various theories related to fiber lasers. To validate and analyze these theories, we employed MATLAB for simulation and conducted an in-depth analysis of the results and corresponding graphs. Additionally, we utilized Python for simulating and comparing some other theories, followed by graphical analysis. Furthermore, we employed the Optisystem program to simulate additional theories and obtain conclusive results. Through these processes, we have established a strong understanding of simulation and programming. It facilitates performance prediction, enables design optimization, enhances the understanding of complex phenomena, allows for parameter sensitivity analysis, optimizes cost and time efficiency, facilitates exploration of novel concepts, and serves as an educational tool. By leveraging simulations, researchers and engineers can expedite the advancement of fiber laser technology, improve overall performance, and explore new avenues for innovation. The integration of simulation techniques into the development process holds tremendous potential for pushing the boundaries of fiber laser capabilities and fostering continuous progress in the field.
