| Résumé: | The content of this thesis focuses on studying progressive myopia in children and the methods for its control, such as orthokeratology, atropine, and specialized lenses. Additionally, an analysis of the consequences of uncontrolled myopia is included. Through our study, we have identified several contributing factors to myopia progression, including genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors. Early detection of myopia plays a crucial role in maintaining ocular health among young individuals with myopia. Timely detection enables the implementation of measures to control its progression. Furthermore, the age of myopia onset is associated with the rate of progression, with earlier onset often indicating a faster progression and vice versa. |
