| Résumé: | Our study focuses on 40 children with accommodative strabismus, the characteristics studied are the installation properties of the deviation, division of the founded forms, ocular alignment and its response to treatment. The work also addresses the evolution of accommodative strabismus over the years at Msila and Tébessaand the factors that might be the cause of this evolution. The results showed that the pure refractive type is predominant 90% and the only treatment that generally achieves alignment is the total optical correction measured under cycloplegia, addition might be indicated for the pure innervational type. Moreover, an early treatment is essential to achieve both a normal ocular alignment and a sufficient visual acuity as the 93% of cases who didn’t develop an amblyopia indicates. Furthermore children’s exposure to screens threatens to develop an accommodative strabismus. |
