| Résumé: | In order to improve high-speed access to the Internet, an FTTH network with optical fiber to the user end is adopted. Fiber optic communications use optical signals to transmit information from a transmitter to a receiver via GPON technology.
This technology has been a huge success in terms of speed and availability compared to other transmission systems such as copper wires which have limited speed and bandwidth.
The focus of our work was the study of an installation made by Algeria Telecom and make a simulation of the FTTH network in Setif City, where the simulation was performed using OptiSystem software. |
