Résumé: The essential basis for managing the quality of measurements in an instrument park is metrology. Indeed, a good understanding of metrological principles is essential to effectively manage calibration periodicity and ensure measurement reliability and accuracy. The aim of this work is to calculate the calibration periodicity of Socothyd's measuring equipment, in order to minimize unjustified and costly constraints in the case of very short periodicity. Each instrument is individually assessed in terms of its impact on measurement quality and the consequences of any drift. By incorporating the OPPERET optimization method, it is possible to define the optimum calibration intervals for each instrument, taking into account factors such as frequency of use, sensitivity to environmental variations and application-specific quality requirements. By carrying out a statistical study of Socothyd's equipment history, and following the advice and guidelines given in document NF X 07-014, we were able to calculate a new calibration periodicity for each instrument. The results obtained show that the calibration period has been extended from 12 months to between 14 and 29 months, and that this change represents a benefit for the company without compromising the quality of the product manufactured.
