Résumé: | The human skin, with its three main layers (epidermis, dermis, and subcutaneous tissue), plays a crucial role in protecting and regulating the body's thermal balance. The epidermis is composed of various types of cells such as keratinocytes and melanocytes, which are essential for the production of keratin and melanin. Below it, the dermis houses blood vessels, collagen, and elastin, which give the skin its structure, elasticity, and aid in thermoregulation. These layers interact with light in a complex manner, influencing its absorption, diffusion, and emission, a phenomenon explored through advanced techniques like fluorescence spectroscopy and optical coherence tomography. These advancements enable precise characterization of the skin's molecular components, thereby improving diagnostics and personalized treatments in dermatology and cosmetics. |
