Résumé: | This thesis explores the study and optimization of the design parameters of a TPU-based metamaterial for architectural applications. These metamaterials, whether mechanical or acoustic, are distinguished by their unique properties derived from their structure rather than their chemical composition, offering revolutionary possibilities. Using advanced 3D modeling and printing techniques, a metamaterial was designed and characterized to improve its flexibility, compressibility, and shock absorption. The results show that these materials can significantly improve the comfort and protection of architectural structures. Increased flexibility allows better adaptation to deformation, while improved compressibility and shock absorption provide optimal force management and enhanced protection against impacts. This research highlights the potential of TPU-based metamaterials in modern architecture, paving the way for innovative new applications. |
