| Résumé: | Abstract
The objective of this work is to measure the angle of repose by modifying several key parameters, such as flow rate and width of the confining plates, as well as cohesion by adding silicone oil. The measurements carried out by image processing make it possible to quantify the effect of cohesion on the angle of repose, considering the dynamics of the grains during flow. In this study, we highlighted the dynamics of the sand pile using a simple device which allows us to control the formation of the pile to measure the angle of repose. We also studied the intergranular properties of the sand granular medium, including overall grain cohesive strength, sand compaction, and sand hardness. |
