Résumé: Hysteresis current control technique is largely used in power electronics area. The main advantages of this technique are the very simplicity of use, robustness and rapidity. However, its major inconvenient is the absence of switching frequency control which exhibits high variation especially in the case of three-phase systems with insulated neutral. The research work presented in this thesis consists to develop advanced control techniques which improve the characteristics of hysteresis current control technique in term of constant switching frequency operation. This leads to improvements in controlled currents waveforms quality of several power converters. Our study is based firstly on the modern means for electrical networks power factor correction, where adopted preventive solutions are shunt active filter and the no polluting AC/DC converters; including three-phase PWM rectifier and three-phase three-level rectifier, and secondly on single phase AC chopper feeding universal motor. The best performances provided by different advanced control techniques developed in this work are verified by simulation using Matlab/Simulink software. In addition, the efficiency of advanced adaptive hysteresis band current control technique applied to three- phase shunt active power filter is validated by practical implementation on dSPACE 1104 system card.
