Abstract

In the current era, industrial enterprises face challenges and pressures that require them to respond to them, especially sustainable development, Prompting them to always look at the tools that can be activated to respond to these pressures, from which we find information and communication technologies, Therefore, the problem of the study is about the contribution of information and communication technology in supporting sustainable development in industrial enterprises, And how to adopt the approaches through which the components of this technology can be used to serve sustainable development, as well as the mechanisms that enable it to activate this role. By dropping on a sample of industrial establishments in eastern Algeria, it turns out that this institution uses: social responsibility, environmental responsibility, corporate governance, Satisfying the wishes of stakeholders as entry points for sustainable development, it has also been shown that these institutions are already using ICT components to support these approaches, but the level of employment of this technology to support environmental responsibility in particular remains almost absent and total.
