Le matériel de traitement post-récolte des céréales au Burkina Faso : situation actuelle des équipements de décorticage

Titre: Le matériel de traitement post-récolte des céréales au Burkina Faso : situation actuelle des équipements de décorticage
Auteur(s): TAPSOBA, Y.; BATIONO, P.; SON, G.; YE, S.G.
Résumé: Millet, sorghum, maize and rice are the cereals produced in Burkina Faso. They

are consumed after mechanized dehulling treatment with hammer, disk or

Engelberg dehuller. The dehulled grain quality depends on the type of machine,

the grains and the user’s technical ability. A lack of correlations between these

parameters led to an unsuccessful dehulling machines introduction in Senegal.

This proves that the user must know characteristics of existing dehulling

machines and their performances before purchasing them. In Burkina, Indian

dehuller Engelberg type is marketed by four traders relayed by regional sellers.

The annual sales average is about 912 units. The best raw productivities are as

followed 372,88 ± 2,78 kg per hour, 393,93 ± 76,72 kg per hour, 356,94 ± 66,41

kg per hour and 355,39 ± 68,81 kg per hour respectively for UPKAR 1, METRO 2,

LYON 7 and LYON 8. Their designed dehulling yields averages varied from 67 to

79 % and are higher than those obtained in Senegal. In terms of low output

rates and fuel consumption, LYON 8 and UPKAR1 seem to be the best energy

and economic arrangement

Auteur(s): AIT KAKI, A.; Moula, N.
Résumé: The objective of this study is to evaluate the potential for meat and egg production

of the local Kabyle hen through a characterisation of its growth and egg-laying

performances. Growth performances have been carried out on 204 chicks over 17

weeks, from March to June 2011. At 16 weeks, the mortality rate was 9.31% and

the index of consumption was 6.78. The Gompertz equation adopted as the growth

model, led to the following relations. For males: y - 2409 × exp (-3.68 × exp (-0.0260

× t)) ; For females: y - 1835 × exp (-3.71 × exp (-0.0294 × t)) ;

Where y is the weight of the chicks in grams, and the their age in days. The egg-laying performance was observed in 38 hens over 52 weeks, from August 2011 to

August 2012. On average, egg-laying starts at 166 days of age and a weight of about

1334g. Hens lay on average 173 eggs per year, each weighing between 44 and 53g,

on average. The variation in the mean weight is related to the age of the hen. To the

light of these results, it seems that the Kabyle hen constitutes a promising local

breed both from the points of view of growth in body mass, and egg-laying. From

the collected data, it may be possible to develop a selection program to enhance its

meat and egg production potentials.

Etude floristique et écologique des mauvaises herbes des cultures de la région de Batna

Titre: Etude floristique et écologique des mauvaises herbes des cultures de la région de Batna
Auteur(s): Hannachi, A.; Fenni, M.
Résumé: The study of crop weeds in the Batna region during the crop year 2008/2009

covered 114 phytoecological performed on different crops. They were

distributed throughout the study area in order to take into account the

variability of ecological and agronomic factors. The weed flora has 120 weeds

species. Broadleaf weeds are dominant with 98 species (81.66%), monocots

include 22 species (18.33%). Species identified are divided into 95 genera and

30 botanical families. The biological type shows that annual dominate and form

69.16% (83 species), perennial 19.16% (23 species) and biennials 11.66% (14

species). A case (01) whose frequency is between 60% and 80%, while ten

species (10) between 20 and 40%. Frequency (- 20%) contained in most of the

species (109 species). The analysis of the relationship between the relative

frequency of species and their abundance-dominance shows average 05 types

of species. The results obtained by the AFC show two groups of statements, two

species groups and two groups of environmental factors, these results explain

the distribution of weeds in crops of Batna region according to climate, crop

type and soil conditions.
