Should these disturbances be attributed to variations in rainfall patterns, temperature differences, physiological deficiencies, drought and parasite damage? In all the countries of the world, we are beginning to see dieback, which already dates back to the 1960s, but the phenomenon became more important in the 1980s/1990s and has accelerated since the 2000s, the case of the degradation of the Cedar forests being of most concern. In terms of biotechnology, the themes aim to give importance to natural substances that remain in the Mediterranean region. The objective of the seminar is to provide a platform for researchers to share scientific knowledge on recent trends in the field of ecology, biotechnology and the Mediterranean climate.
