Résumé: In the setting of the D.H.S. (Distinction, Homogeneity and stability) works. Our

survey has been achieved on the homogeneity controlof four variety wheat

(two durum wheat and two bread wheat) has shortcoming their morphological

characterization, in beginning generation G.0, cultivated in the field stages (ear

emergence, blooming stage, milk development stage and ripping stage) such as

recommended by U.P.O.V. (International Union of theplant Obtaining

Protection). It comes out again that the two varieties studied for every species

(durum wheat and bread wheat) are morphologically distinct, as well as

homogeneity for variety is very strong.</summary>

Résumé: The objective of this study was to diagnose the situation and the state of

operation of milking machines in jar in Sousse region, semi-arid littoral zone of

Tunisia. This study was performed in among a sampleof 30 small and

mediumdairy cattle farms aboveground. These herds subjected to mechanical

milking in jar, have a size of 3 to 25 Lactation Cows per herd (average 10). The

diagnosis implemented consists essentially to detect the identification and the

main technical characteristics, to visually assess the general condition of

cleaning and maintenance of equipments of milking and to test partially their

operation, using a pulsator tester. This diagnosis revealed that milking

equipment encountered is diverse on plans brand andorigin and that is mainly

poorly cleaned and poorly maintained. In addition, operation milking machines

controlled was not satisfactory in most cases. Someabnormal failures

werenoted for parameters of vacuum and pulsation. The effects of the milking

machine and of the milking of cows on mammary health remain to be

evaluated for a better control for mastitis treatment.</summary>

Auteur(s): Egena, S.S.A.; Tsado, D.N.; Kolo, P.; Shehu-Adisa, M.
Résumé: Indigenous Red Sokoto goats raised under extensive system of management

were used to evaluate the relationship between bodyweight (BW), head

length (HL), head width (HW), height at withers (HAW), chest depth (CD),

chest girth (CG), shin circumference (SC) and body length (BL). The objective

of the study was to assess variability among body weight and its related

characters using path coefficient analysis. Pair wise correlation between body

weight and linear body measurements were positive and mostly significant (r=

0.053 - 0.826 in males; -0.020 - 0.667 in females and 0.072 – 0.690 in the

combined population; P&lt;0.05, 0.01). Path analysis showed that chest depth,

shin circumference and body length made the greatest direct effect on body

weight in male, female and the combined population (path coefficient =

0.360, 0.341 and 0.322, respectively) while the least direct effect was

observed for height at withers, chest depth and height at withers in the male,

female and the combined population (path coefficient = -0.019, -0.104 and -0.001 respectively). The optimum linear regression model with a coefficient of

determination (R

2

) value of 0.684, 0.635 and 0.628 included forecastindices

such as chest depth and body length in the male, head length, height at

withers, chest depth, chest girth, shin circumference and body length in the

female and head length, head width, chest girth, shin circumference and body

length in the combined population. The optimum regression equations could

be used in predicting body weight of indigenous goats in the field and for

selection purposes</summary>

Résumé: Essential oils have significant antimicrobial activities and can successfully

replace antibiotics that show their inefficiencies against resistant

microorganisms (Jonkers, 1999). The objective of this study is to develop the

use of essential oil of savory mountains to struggle against urinary tract

infections. The extraction is carried out by hydrodistillation. Analysis of essential

oils is performed by GC / MS. The antibacterial activity is highlighted by the

diffusion on agar medium method. The results showedthat the essential oil of

savory mountains is liquid pale yellow colored, having an aromatic odor, fresh

and camphor and chemotype carvacrol (20.85%). Moreover, aromatogram

indicates a very important activity of this essential oil on the growth of bacteria

isolated from urinary tract infection. The MIC obtained for all the strains tested

is that of the crude extract, with a value of 0.1 g/ l. In view of these results, the

essential oil of savory mountains seems to be appropriate to treat urinary tract

infections.</summary>
